While every patient’s exact treatment course will look different, the Invisalign treatment process usually goes like this:
- At your free consultation, your Southlake or Bedford orthodontist will begin by taking a digital scan of your teeth, capturing your dental anatomy in great detail. This scan is painless and fast. Dr. Collins will then perform a comprehensive orthodontic evaluation, diagnose any problems, and talk with you about your treatment options.
- If together, you determine Invisalign is the best treatment option for you, your Southlake or Bedford Invisalign orthodontist will then design your customized orthodontic treatment plan to help you achieve a new smile.
- We’ll then send the digital scan along with your photographs and treatment plan to the manufacturers of Invisalign who create your custom series of clear aligners manufactured to fit your bite and then ship them to our office.
- Once you receive your aligners, you’ll wear each set for 22 hours daily, for 1-2 weeks, according to your orthodontist’s instructions, before moving to the next set in the series and you’ll visit us for a checkup appointment every 8-10 weeks. With each new pair, your teeth will move closer to their final positions. Once you finish your final set of aligners, your new smile is yours for a lifetime!
