The gift of smiles
Here at Johnson & Collins Orthodontics, not only do we provide top orthodontic care for the residents of Southlake and Bedford, TX, but we also take pride in our commitment to serving our community for the better. That is why our orthodontist, Dr. Collins participates in Smile For A Lifetime, a non-profit charitable foundation with chapters throughout the country that provide orthodontic treatment to patients who may not have the opportunity to achieve beautiful, straight smiles without financial assistance.
Launched in 2008, Smile For A Lifetime aims to reach individuals with financial challenges, special situations, and unique orthodontic needs. The foundation sponsors orthodontic care for hundreds of patients every year. They have offered their services to give free orthodontic care to children ages seven through 18 who face financial and family challenges that prevent them from affording treatment otherwise.
How Smile For A Lifetime works
The Smile For A Lifetime Foundation asks each local chapter to treat six patients per year. Johnson & Collins Orthodontics takes care of 100% of the orthodontic care. They know that a beautiful, healthy smile can bring self-confidence and the ability to accept life’s challenges and opportunities. They hope that the children who receive treatment through Smile For A Lifetime can become leaders with the potential to have a positive impact on their community.
Many of the scholarship recipients have additional dental needs, such as prophylaxis, restorations, extractions, etc. Several area dentists have committed to partnering with Johnson & Collins Orthodontics to provide dental care at reduced or no cost to the foundation.
